I felt that TREECHAT MUSIC is precisely the embodiment of the ‘sharing’ side of the ‘ownership and sharing’ theme I’ve been reflecting on recently. The posted ‘works’ aren’t owned by any particular individual, yet the traces of those who have engaged with them are made visible through play counts and revenue figures, and those metrics themselves are shared as well. It seems to propose a form of enjoyment in ‘sharing’ that goes beyond merely owning or buying and selling as NFTs or Ordinals. Very intriguing.
