I don't understand all the technical shit, but what do you mean raise the fees?

Every tx on the network is set to super low fee, and the unknown miner does not want to mine large cheap blocks, not enough money in it for them. They want us to pay more per tx to get in their blocks.

I gotcha. If you're running mining equipment I'm sure that's not cheap. Makes sense
