I tried to setup account and watch but it didn't work out as planned. Took money but wouldn't go past the 5min mark. This was a few days ago and I haven't tried again to see if this working now but it was frustrating as I wanted to listen to the video

Yeah I hear ya. @255 and team are working their butts off to transform this once dormant platform into something special. I've got lots of videos there and they aren't going anywhere!

It's a circular economy. If we just keep moving that $2.18 enough we increase the velocity of money, and since MV=PQ, prices will rise and we'll all get rich.

Why did you buy it and not rebuild it from scratch? I bet you could find a better name also.

If you say "users", I bet you could get the same users from scratch also because you do have the reach anyway in this space.

Good question and many peers I greatly respect have suggested the same. You may still be correct but I will expand into the thought process right or wrong in a thread below:

1. The initial plan was not to rebuild it. It was upon proper examination post acquisition that the infrastructure and the way it was constructed would not be proper for future extensions. Also partly, our team got more excited after hence the rebuild.

2. It is unclear what would have happened to the library of 4,000 videos had an acquirer not stepped in. Some of the videos contain incredibly valuable history of the past two years of Bitcoin. As they say, you can’t roll back time and press replay.

3. Had we not bought it, possibly another company would have eg. a competing wallet and furthered their lead over RelayX. In the two months since the deal, another acquirer could have improved it, making a competing platform less valuable.

4. I have an overly optimistic view of Bitcoin, so it was also conceivable an entirely new platform could have been launched by someone else in the time between deal and restart.

With Streamanity in hand, we had optionality to respond appropriately.

5. We should not underestimate the brand and name recognition of Streamanity. It would have been confusing and difficult to try and push yet another brand on a new video platform when we really should and are focused on building RelayX, FloatSV, Dimely.

Over a year ago, I suggested to the founders, in the Metanet.icu channel, to list videos in descending order in channel pages.

It makes so much sense, takes 1 min to do, and yet they never did it. I knew there was something wrong since then.

The name is impossible for me.

I've forgot how to write it, and as a result find it, at least half a dozen times in the past year and half.

Always thought Streamanity should offer a streaming service for live uploads. Easily profit from coverage of breaking stories or content creators to easily license content. IMO this would be the greatest advantage of the other platforms.
