Yeah, not a bad default. Although I still prefer to have it post where I’m at, you could hide the input box except for your private page. Also maybe a more obvious publishing flow would be good. I think right now if you turn an old note into a published one it stays at its place in time, which means it does not move it to the top of the publish page. Less reward for waiting.
