@Y Can't find that post of yours, where you mention or explain "soul binding".
Would be nice if you could link it here.

I thought I already archived/tagged it for myself but it seems I didn't.
And now I couldn't find it anymore, not sure why.

No. But I can repeat what I mean by "soul building". Whenever we do something difficult we tend to stop when it gets too tough. Every time this occurs is a battle won by body and mind (ego, animal, inner devil). Soul building is all about letting the soul win such battles, and thereby strengthening it. Let's say you kneel or sit still for an hour (or 10 minutes, it doesn't matter, what's important is that it's a challenge). After some time body and mind will do whatever they can to get you to stop. This is the moment when it is very easy to tell apart the voice of the soul ("I'll finish what I started, I'll keep the promise I gave to myself") and the choir of the mind ("this is enough now, I was gonna finish it, but today isn’t the right time, I should really do X, also it hurts really badly, there could be irreparable damage."etc etc). Whatever you propose to yourself, if you stop when it gets tough, the soul loses. But if you keep the promise and stop when the predetermined time is up, the soul wins. A series of such wins is what I call soul building, or the path.

In short, do something that body and mind hate (because it makes you aware of them when they prefer to rule in the shadows) and keep the promise you gave to yourself no matter what, instead of giving up when body and mind throw everything they got at you to make you stop.

I'm in the process of writing a book about it.
