Wow ok I’m learning more and in the right way.  I’ve only communicated with you and metamiya on here and it feels like the right place to be for reasons known now and unknown as yet.  I’ve written a lot about my mud dreams and realities but have not managed to put them out. Much respect to you for completing the task of completing a book and putting it out there. What’s your book about? And much respect for being an early adopter of crypto. I also knew it was good early in but lacked the follow through. I was waiting for someone else to show me how. Mistake. How has crypto changed your life? Thanks for sharing your childhood stories - wow - how great. Priceless. Your mountain looks beautiful in the clouds. Is that animation made from video? Your story reminds me that we are born with lots of love and creativity and imagination as well as all the food and shelter we need. It’s not at all as Maslows theory suggests that you only earn love and art once you slog it out and secure food and shelter first. The spirit of generosity pays forward everything first.  I’ve got a busy day so I’ll cut this short but I just wanna say that my meditation teacher has a 5 star darkroom meditation chamber to recreate the environment of the ancient catacombs and caves used for tapping into the inner light and accessing the heavenly energies - from a position of being grounded and free from the distractions of light, sight, sound and worldly obligations etc. Nothing to do but relax and let go. Recreating a womb space  in which to be nurtured and recharged. Over the years I’ve held my own makeshift darkroom retreats - completely devoid of light and they have been the most restful and rejuvenating experiences - leaning on friends and family to hold space and bring me food through a light proof shutter.  I just booked to attend the darkroom retreat next year and be pampered.

Wow, I’m not sure a dark cave-like space is my idea of being most restful, I tend to rest when I’m in flow, rather than doing nothing, but I can understand why others would seek it out. My mountain is actually just a large hill. Everything’s on a smaller scale in the UK. I think I made the animation from an image I made… struggling to remember now. My book is called The Bitcoin Singularity, and you can find it on Amazon and Apple Books and Barnes & Noble, etc. I self-published as I figured that would be the quickest route to market, which was important as it’s about AI and Bitcoin, and so the story will quickly become out of date. It is set in the near future of 2026.
This is a good place. You can feel it from the moment you step in can’t you…quite a different vibe from everywhere else on the internet. I made my walking song into a song and video… because this is the sort of frivolously playful activity I like to do of a weekend. Hope you enjoy! I sang the song, then got my son to sing it as he has a nice singing voice, and then fed that into Suno which turned it into a full song. It is J R R Tolkien’s lyrics. The Road Goes Ever On And On.

Hey thanks for sending the video. I don’t know much about Tolkien and the hobbits but this is a great way for me to enter that story - via your own artistic image of your mountain, the origins of which you can’t quite recall, after clearly recalling early childhood memories of said mountain and surrounds, and of digging out small scale earthen dens or stoves or ovens (appliances) depending upon your perspective. I’m hereby a witness and participant of the weave between your own imagination and Tolkiens, and the real life history of the lands you inhabit. The real underground life of ancient druids and the imagined ones of you and Tolkien coalescing into one infinitely branching wellspring of possibilities. Futuristic, realtime, educational technological references bubbling up from the cauldron of this conversation along with hints of family dynamics being revealed along the way.

I enjoyed the song and video and like how you mixed the mediums and content of others with yours to create your own thing - which many people will be able to relate to in different ways. This will have a whole different meaning to those who have been to or seen that mountain. This is how it should be. Everyone co creating from each other’s content to create infinitely branching oneness. This is how it always was before corporate patenting of content.

I was unable to watch the video continuously. It stopped and started several times which interrupted the flow. Also I noticed that my reply was happening in two places simultaneously. Both here and if I swipe left it was there again but in big bold letters. So I came back here and I’m going to hit send before I swipe to see if the bold one is there. Maybe I need to go back and watch the “how to”videos on how to make the most of navigating this space

Thank you for all your replies and for watching the video. That walking song has been rattling round in my head for 35 years! It was wonderful to get it down as my own version, as I could never find the original version I heard and learnt as a child. I didn’t even know it was possible to integrate my own singing with the AI until I tried it, so it was quite a revelation! I love your perspective on life and freedom, and enthusiasm for just starting. I like the idea of building a small scale model first. I think that’s a great way to start, to give confidence and to adjust the building, by building it! You have rekindled my childhood desire to build. If you need any assistance publishing your book, let me know as I’ve gone through these hoops three times in the past year, as I published two children’s books as well. It’s quite a lengthy process, but worthwhile, especially once you can hold your book in your hand. I think I must be ‘in your mindset’ before you began posting as I wrote the lyrics for this AI generated song a couple of weeks ago now, and it speaks of the simple life and being truly free, as you have. I think Covid especially awakened me to the lie that we are ‘free’. https://suno.com/song/0ef2286c-b5cf-4fc5-856c-41688bedf3e9

Here’s my ‘woman cave’. It’s no mud hut, but because our house is over a hundred years old, it does have nice old bricks at least, as well as some Virginia creeper growing up the front and a wobbly roof. I collect the rainwater in whisky barrels. We used to have a lovely blue pine in the middle of the garden, but sadly it got blown down this winter during high winds, and took out our small hedge and some of the roofline with it! I think subconsciously, I’m still recreating Bag End all these years later, albeit a very high tech version, but I’d love a low-tech version—just wood and sticks and mud and glass. I have a grounding pillow, but I agree, there is nothing equivalent to actually sleeping truly grounded in a mud building.

Wow again. I played your song and cried. Then played it over and over until I was singing along with the parts I’d learned. The second time I played it back to find out what lyrics were being sung at the time the emotions welled up in me, and discovered that the lyrics were “caravan of tears”. At the time I was just caught up in the emotion without realising what words were being sung. Haha. So I guess your timing was perfect. I was a total mindless powerless sucker programmed by the magic to cry on cue. I love every line and word of that song and every note and the whole image. It’s perfect! Perfection! Among many awards, I hereby award it with FirstPrize for “First, best, and earliest use of the word “glen”in a pop song.”

ruthheasman ·

Aw thanks! That’s lovely to hear! Yes, I do really like it myself. Can’t claim authorship of the music, but I did write the words at least. Some of these AI produced songs are getting exceptionally good. It is weirdly in tune with everything you’ve written here. I’m so glad you liked it!

Mudfun ·

It’s hard to keep up with and prioritise all the threads of this conversation- they all deserve more attention than I can give right now. My cup overfloweth. haha. I still wanna talk about the lyrics of the song - let alone the new AI element you’ve introduced -and the walking song - songline connections, and your question about aboriginal people, your “cave” (was that photo from a drone up high?) yes yes yes to accepting your book-writing offer. Yes to illustrations! That’s the part that’s holding me back. I’ve got lots of images in mind -some photos of mine, some Google images and others I need to sketch or have sketched. Seeing your work makes me think I should add a fantastical element via images. Also Metamiya has sent me something to watch about how to get started with book writing

Mudfun ·

Here’s an exerot

ruthheasman ·

Awesome… take your time…no rush. Can always come back to these threads later on. You can star them and they’ll appear at the top of your history. Might be able to help with illustrations as I’m Midjourney addicted—would likely need some guidance though. The photo of my cave was taken from my bedroom balcony this morning—seemed like a good angle for showing the whole thing. You can talk to the AI in any message by clicking on the red robot with headset, and click it off again when you’re done interacting with it. You will need to make sure your book is in a private thread. Easy to do and you can set it to private later if you forget. Adding ideas, a book codex, outline, chapter titles, etc and then branching off them is the way to go. I use the snowflake method for writing. Start with high level outline, then zoom in on chapters and scenes, or in your case sub-sections. If you keep adding more and more detail at each sub-level, it sort of writes itself in a way.

gotta say it has been very cool seeing this char tree grow... sometimes i think treechats tagline can be "deep conversation" and this growing conversation is a good example of that

So let’s explore why it feels better here. (And help me learn more) Ruth was also saying she feels better here than other places. You were saying that people can lock their crypto temporarily into someone’s post to show how much they value the information (as opposed to a big blue thumbs up “like” on fb) and Ruth was saying something like “until it forms a block”. What does this mean? What happens once these little amounts form a block? You said that people temporarily locking their crypto into a post is in lieu of them spending it right now. A small sacrifice that allows them to express themself - show and learn what their spirit is aligned to in the moment. Is that right? So maybe it’s safe to say that one of the things that makes this special - besides the idea of infinitely branching threads - is that people share a common interest in crypto. Specifically BSV? Only BSV? Is that correct? Is this one of the reasons why someone would choose to hold BSV? That it enables them to play this game of locking their currency of choice into posts to express themselves? Is it something like being able to play with your money in the bank instead of just leaving it there doing nothing?

Mudfun ·

how does the crypto community see itself stopping the flow of money and its power to the legacy power structures via our shelter payments - rent and mortgage? Our shelter payments are their bread, butter, meat and potatoes. Most rent is paying someone’s mortgage and must modern shelter is mortgaged “ real estate”. Following the mortgage payments leads to all the things that we are not aligned to.
