Why so big?

Fair point - ring size would have been cool, but that would have required multiple sizes. Having it not fit would be a bit naff. A wearable ring would be a stage 2 project, likely in platinum and produced by a jeweller. That might happen when we’re all driving Lambos…
As it stands, this is a collectible desk piece that could just about double as a paperweight. Also you could keep it on a bedside table and fend off an intruding small blocker with it 🤔
