It was quite successful for a time. Never got a foothold into the business sector. So as soon as the i486 came along PCs could then do everything an Amiga could (more or less) whilst also being the default platform for business, so everyone just got a PC.
- Adored among creative types (musicians, artists)
- Little enterprise support
- Supplanted by competing architecture w/uniform standards
- Plagued by CEO issues (Jack Tramiel)
What can bitcoin learn from Amiga?
Eventually, there can only be one winner. Craig knows this and nChain has the patents. In practical terms it looks... not bad.
Does BSV really have a problem aside from unpalatable price action?
For sure I think the marketing could be much, much better.
Great coins don't need people to shill them. They shill themselves. I would rather invest in great coins (BSV, Monero, Pirate Chain) with poor marketing campaigns than poor coins with great marketing campaigns.
>shills pirate chain
I don't see myself as shilling it even though maybe that's not 100% true. It's more my identity like a person would wear a shirt with their favorite team on it to support the team. So I'm going to root for it but I'm not going to be telling people to buy.
