Whoever talks about power today encounters a serious problem:
There are today different levels of power that need to be differentiated in order to make any sense, executive power and deep power, for lack of better words.
With Trump in office, for example, the left can identify as opposition to power, but only to executive power. They are very much in favor of the true power, the permanent, almost global control apparatus.
Everything depends on the frame of reference.
