4 months ago i dropped out of UC santa cruz

I had 3 quarters left and i calculated it would bring me about 10-15k in debt. Made the decision that the degree wasn't worth the money. Probably should have come to that conclusion sooner.

@1850 at the time my band started touring and playing out a bunch. i wasn’t having fun with college either so I just stopped going to classes lol I was at a community college and only like 6 credits from being able to transfer to uni

why did you drop out?

@127 I had a friend who started a metal band and dropped out as well :D They were quite successful for a while. He was the lead guitarist and is now a professional chef.

Semester 1 Sophomore year, 2011, UMich. Similar arithmetic @1666

It's now $16k/yr, but even if it were affordable I think I'd make the same decision.

Debt + lost opportunity cost + nonsense brainwashing curriculum was simply too much to bear.

@127 Was a PolySci/History major w/CS minor. After campaigning for Ron Paul in 2012, getting redpilled on Building 7, and learning about the Fed I had to leave.

Still miss CS but I became an okay progarmmer in my free time.

A personality clash with everyone in the industry. I did some work experience on a couple of sets before I started film school and during my first semester. I found I hated EVERYONE, mainly because I thought they were all pretentious wankers.
