people & things want all sorts of things & people, but what happens is that if something changes, it changes, so then things go: different, change, different, change, creation, difference, newness, change, creation, change, creation, change, harmony, similarity, sameness, sameness, same, same, same, same, same, same, same, same, same,,,, and so there's this endless hum everywhere of same, same, repeat, repeat, the things that have settled, the things that are done, but those are dead w/o the tiny line, the thin border, that constantly escapes, constantly making, constantly growing, as other things drop away into sameness it never ceases, and that border between repeating and continuing, between doing and undoing, is where we live our lives and love our loves

I'm not convinced.

if there are loops and there are spirals, what has to happen to split the loop and spiral it? What breaks the pattern? Something that was suggested to me was to shift from a vicious cycle to a virtuous cycle. Then the question, how to make virtues attractive enough for people to want to play that game?

I'm also wondering, how many characters do I have in each post?

i think it's always contextual, there's nothing that always makes things ok, b/c some people are hackers, of social systems as well as technical ones, some people will find the limits of anything, security is,,, what did craig say in the sartre post? i'll look it up

mungojelly ·

"Security is always a risk function and not an absolute."

i don't know how many characters you can type! it's probably a zillion?! @metamitya is usually pretty generous

I can see a character count at the bottom of the post... me, now thinking of a way to test that limit :)
