v2.0 will be worthless outside of China due to its centralised Chinese starting point. BItcoin was released by Craig Wright in 2008 under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. After many years, with no starting point, it gained mass adoption.BSV is unrepeatable.

BSV is comprised of the COMPLETE BITCOIN BLOCKCHAIN database from its inception at block 1. It has the legal backing by Craig Wright, NChain, its allies, copyrights & a fortress of patents. As per the Bitcoin whitepaper, BSV stores all signatures on-chain.

Why would anyone be interested in technology that doesn't improve? What happens when black swan technology comes out that breaks the old version? Besides, v2.0 would by definition be 100% legacy compatible, not a hard fork.

It’d be a completely new db with a centralised Chinese starting point. No one outside of China would touch it. However, Bitcoin is unique as it had no known starting point; no one knew where it came from for years, gained mass adoption, then CSW appeared.

As to your question, “why would anyone be interested in technology that does not improve?”, look no further than the internet. The internet is a stable protocol that has not changed in decades; everyone uses it. Likewise, everyone will use BSV.

I'm talking about the mining code, not the protocol itself. Miners don't need to be paid for on chain transactions. There are other ways. Lightning Network would actually work on BSV.
