Went to a gun show this weekend and tried to cut some deals in alt-currencies.
Only one dude was willing to trade in gold. Plenty were open to accepting silver. Crypto was, unsurprisingly, a laughingstock.
Ammo more liquid than all these "currencies".

sounds about right. the gold is difficult to make change. silver is on the mind of that crowd this past year or so. ammo is in high demand and easily divisible for them.
Interestingly, I went to the show with this experiment in mind and brought enough gold fractionals to make near-exact change.
Booth operators still preferred silver.
Everybody believes the ratio is off currently and silver has better potential. Have heard this argument several times by now. It's a bit speculative, but then again it's not incorrect either.
Silver is the daily man's money more often than gold anyway.
