‪The way the word “crypto” is used by blockchain people just rubs me the wrong way. It’s entirely the wrong word to describe a generic blockchain asset, and it implies that there is something hidden, which there usually isn’t. ‬

I agree, it's alienating and subversive just like "be your own bank." They are both half-truths to deter from bitcoins true value.
