No. For me they are different concepts and both have their strengths. It's just that Twetch will not have it easy to restore trust I guess and they need to show up with a good working app or else they will make people angry.
twetch would be more like a replacement for X.
There is room on the metanet for both and many more.
Twetch is jealous of Treechat, but competirion is always welcome.
