Most of us want to look good for summer, but there's a much more important reason to focus on getting lean: eliminating visceral fat. Unlike the fat you can pinch, visceral fat wraps around your heart and internal organs, and according to Dr. Shawn Omera, it might be the most dangerous substance in your body.
I've been researching this topic extensively and implementing a comprehensive approach to target this dangerous internal fat. My protocol includes several key strategies that work synergistically:
First, high-intensity exercise like running sprints helps mobilize fat stores more effectively than steady-state cardio. I've found this to be particularly effective when combined with intermittent fasting, which gives your body extended periods to tap into fat reserves for energy.
I've also been experimenting with a modified carnivore diet, which drastically reduces inflammation and seems to specifically target visceral fat. For those willing to go further, prolonged fasting and liver flushes can accelerate the process.
On the supplement front, I'm currently testing two recommendations from Dr. Omera: NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) with selenium for free radical protection and low-dose lithium orotate (5mg) for general wellness. I purchased these from my local health food store rather than online marketplaces where counterfeit supplements are unfortunately common.
What's particularly striking about visceral fat is that you can't necessarily see it from the outside. Someone might appear relatively slim yet carry dangerous levels of fat around their organs. This makes understanding effective reduction strategies all the more important.
If you're interested in targeting visceral fat, remember this isn't just about aesthetics – it's potentially one of the most important health interventions you can make. The summer body might be what motivates you initially, but the health benefits of reducing visceral fat will serve you long after beach season ends.

I am interested in visceral fat reduction. My fitness tracker tells me I need to lose some. And get better habits for eating. Like walking after meals and stuff. I have been watching what I eat and sort of tracking it. I have been slacking recently and always struggled with snacking on junk or waking up and binging. I have been drinking huel meal replacement to help me control my macros. What you think of huel. Idk if I can do carnivore. I have been drinking it for probably a year or maybe at least 6 months, almost daily.

Nac was actually taken off the market just a year ago or two. Store some up. I used it before. I'll start buying it again. I got it at vitamin shoppe before. Got some on Amazon recently. 😆
