Why do you all want blocking so bad? Who hurt you?
Why do you all want blocking so bad? Who hurt you?

@Matt that's what following does
I want control of the content I see. Muting is good enough for me.
I don’t. I just know Craig said he does. I’d rather he used trolls to fund bsv. Put them to the test here on Twetch. Let them come and use bsv.
It's not so much about blocking as it is moderation of your own feed.
I want to be able to curate my own feed, to increase my signal to noise ratio.
*block king. We want to be the Block King.
Show me on the Twetch where he hurt you...
Leftists. I want to block leftists.
Why block when you can just set paywalls for individual users to view or comment? A $100 pay to view or comment is a better block imo.
Please don’t allow blocking.... It’s counterintuitive to bitcoin. Allow us to maybe charge a higher fee to permit certain words or users to get our attention, or some sort of other monetized filtering. C’mon people, are better than blocking!
But what about their avocado toast and hot takes on feminism? What price would you be willing to accept to let them talk to you about their MeToo movement? $100 per mention of the word “avocado”? Or perhaps a certain troll has to pay you $100/twetch rant?
@randy, Following is one aspect of that. Following increases signal, but doesn't decrease noise. Blocking/muting/charging for attention decreases noise.
Also, word based blocking (and I'm calling pay wall like systems blocking for simplicity,) can only work on small, individual scales.
The moment "avocado" becomes blocked enough, they'll switch to "avacado" or some other near-spelling to get past it.
"Why do you want to close the door to your house, who hurt you?"
;)
Now, if the religious solicitors who come to my house offered me a $100 bill to go with their brochure and we came to an agreement that I would listen to their pitch for 5 minutes, then I believe we have deal. I’d open my door for that. ;)
And yeah, people get creative with word based blocking, but there’re only so many ways you can tinker w/ “avocado” before it becomes unrecognizable. It’s not economical to force the word “avacado” in front of someone signaling they want to avoid it.
Remember, eventually people run out of money if they try to force content on those not interested. It’ll be an awesomely entertaining learning experience watching their funds dwindle. Real, actual capitalism....mwahahahahaha!
Basically if I block EVERYONE but some, I get the FOLLOW feature! LOL
No, Follow is much more important than blocking.
Why block, just add paywall for those who are annoying you. Make profit if they wish to pay. Also I thought Twetch plans to add followers, so you'll have a feed based off followers and then a global one? Ignore the global if you don't like it.
Pay wall set at any price above 2 cents. Then famous people will feel safe to use Twetch so if you wanted Joe Rogan to hear your thing he might if your willing to pay . I would like to post things for keep sake and don’t want comments paywall fix please 🙏
