Walmart just hasn't learned yet. Game theory predicts that their 30-day return policy will bankrupt them, since their competitors can just buy a ton of their products and return them frivolously, increasing Walmart's costs to infinity.

This kind of attack doesn't seem practical. People would only do this if they were being paid for it. And it's asymmetrically risky to execute the attack from the competitor's perspective because you could go to jail for fraud. Information travels fast.
