This video is long (16 minutes) but I felt the topic needed it. It helps us understand the most common HD wallet system in use today. Here is the description which includes why I did this vid 😉.

In this video, I break down how hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallets work under BIP-44 - the standard behind most wallets today, including popular hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.
But BIP-44 was built for a coin-centric world. Bitcoin SV is moving beyond that. A new standard called the Hierarchical Deterministic Key System (HDKS) has been proposed in BRC-42/43, under the larger BRC-100 umbrella. HDKS shifts key derivation from “coin types” to protocol namespaces, opening the door for app- and enterprise-level interoperability.
This video is a precursor - helping you master the basics of HD wallets so you’re ready for what’s next on BSV.
