Others.. is the key word. Isolations perpouse is protecting others from individual selfimportance. Ultimatly for individuals not in risk group its a test of being able to care. Too many fail in this, so a fence from rules exist. Seems fare, but sucks.

How sure are we about our assumptions before we consider the risk others choose to morally take?
How accurate is our risk assessment of the threat/risk? How does our 'lack of certainty' and its profile affect our choice in imposition over others decisions?
Twetch ·
we can only assume this is a period of extreme change and precedent
which will likely not be very great for humanity immediately,
we can assume warnings have been ringing out for the entire lives of everyone here and as a whole we failed ourselves
Twetch ·
as a moral ethical species human fall far short of that status
we can assume that will continue until otherwise and that the longer it takes the more damage will be done to earth as an environment 🙏🤦♀️

Every time you start your car you put others at risk.
Collectivism is nothing but slavery in disguise.
Fear the virus?
Take responsibility for your own health. Leave others alone.
Don't let fear turn you into a tyrant.
Twetch ·
I would challange that. Driving a car is quite a rugulated activity, look at some intersections in India where its not, which ones you like? Humans as a herd has animal instics.. Its why we have laws. Virus now just underlines the need for better solutions
Twetch ·
And going outside is NOT a regular activity?
Meeting people is NOT a regular activity?
Some of us do those things all the time...
And we all carry viruses...
Instead of trying to force others to do your will, how about taking responsibility for yourself?
Twetch ·
I see i misunderstood your point...
I read 'regular' instead of 'regulated.'
My point stands.
You miss the ability to care in those who won't give up individual rights.
I miss the ability to care in those who dispute individual rights of others.
Twetch ·
Hmm..So you cant care for people in risk group because they are limiting your rights (as part of solutions for them)? You realise this means part of human population? I dont belive in such selfishnes, its a confusion between reason and solution quality.
Twetch ·
The only selfishness I see is trying to force others to do your will.
Limiting other people's rights for perceived safety is the most selfish thing I can think of...
Am I willing to voluntarily take steps to help others survive?
Sure.
