The whole hologram/simulation thing that's so en vogue right now is pretty funny.
Frankly, it sounds like atheists, yet again, finally saying what religion has said forever, but avoiding the forbidden term "God".
We used to call it "creation"
But if you call it creation, and assume a Creator, then everything has meaning, and our actions matter.
If you call it a simulation, then nothing really matters.
That's the difference.
Since God can neither be proven nor disproven, I'm starting to think that it's essentially a choice that depends on our priorities:
We either prefer a meaningless world, where we can do whatever we want without consequences, or we prefer a world where everything has meaning and our actions matter abd have consequences.
