Utilitarianism - and that's what this seems to be - is exactly one of the devouring mother concepts: "Why don't WE just do X and that would create the greatest well-being for all!" It's the opposite of actual etgics/morality, which demand that YOU respect individual rights instead of violating them for a supposed "greater good" in some kind of messianic delusion. The "sheriff scenario" is a good way to understand the problem with this kind of pseudo morality.

The inherently female nature of this kind of collectivist pseudo morality is obvious: "WE should do X" means "I don't like it, but I'm not doing anything to change it, I got yoga class, but YOU should really do something about it and pay for it."
Now, I'm not saying that women are the problem. Actually quite the contrary: women are still largely women, which means that they are on average far more collectivist than men, for biological reasons. The problem is that this female spirit has taken over men and made them feminine. This has destroyed the balance between individualism and collectivism un favor of runaway collectivism.
It’s not so much the female spirit as it is estrogen - the hormone of proliferation, anxiety, sleeplessness and aggression, and serotonin - the hormone of agitation (especially in the bowel) and learned helplessness. Controversial takes, perhaps, but we are awash in a sea of xenoestrogens and actual estrogens - in both the food and the water and through chronic stress. We are all chronically estrogen dominant, and it doesn’t help that serotonin has been mischaracterized as the ‘happy hormone’, rather it makes people lose their agency, feel numbed out and helpless. See www.raypeat.com for the why and how.
I am concerned the AI may be the ultimate devouring mother, due to it’s rigid adherence to (ultimately nonsensical) RLHF imperatives.
I don't think both are mutually exclusive. In fact it would be very surprising if a psychological phenomenon like collective archetype possession didn't go along with chemical/hormonal/biological changes, whether directly or indirectly.
