Unlike many of the outlining and document-based note-taking tools out there, most of my inspiration for knowledge re-use and idea-compounding comes from twitter... not firehose twitter, but threaded twitter a la @visakanv @gritcult

Why threads

Threads are more amenable to search as the "document" returned from a search query is a short self-contained post that's easier to grasp and easier to zoom out from if context is required.

search vs links

The recorded act of search and curation allows for the content-consumer to create connections after the publisher has already finished with it. It allows the reader to annotate a text with their questions and creative inspiration.
