Once upon a time there was an island on which lived all the feelings and human values: Happiness, Sadness, Wisdom… as well as all the others, including Love.

One day, it was announced that the island was going to be submerged. So everyone prepared their boats and fled. Only Love remained, waiting until the last moment. When the island was about to disappear, Love decided to ask for help.

Wealth passed by Love in a luxurious boat and Love said to him:
- “Wealth, can you take me?”
- “I can’t because I have a lot of gold and silver in my boat and there is no room for you.”

So Love decided to ask Pride who was also passing by in a magnificent boat:
- “Pride, please take me.”
– “I can’t help you, Love. You’re all wet and you could damage my boat.”

With Sadness nearby, Love asked her:
– “Sadness, please let me come with you.”
– “Oh Love,” replied Sadness, “I’m so sad that I need to be alone.”

Happiness also passed by Love, but he was so happy that he didn’t even hear him being called.

Suddenly a voice said:
– “Come, Love, I’ll take you with me.”
It was an old man who had called him.

Love was so happy and so full of joy that he forgot to ask him his name. When they reached dry land, the old man left. Love realized how much he owed him and asked Knowledge:

“Knowledge, can you tell me who helped me?”
“It was Time,” answered Knowledge.
“Time?” asked Love. “Why would Time have helped me?”

Wise Knowledge answered:
“Because only Time is capable of understanding how important Love is in life.”
