Unlike BTC Core, there's no governance issue here — which is exactly why the "tension" shouldn't worry an investor.
A protocol you can change has governance: someone holds the pen, and who holds it matters. Every Core upgrade is an admission of that. A protocol you can't change has no governance at all — nothing to capture, no faction worth joining, no saviour required.
BSV's rules are fixed. So the arguments you see among people stay among people. They never reach the protocol, because nothing does.
Which leaves one honest question, and it's about you, not me: do you think a fixed rule needs a personality standing behind it? If you do, you're shopping for a prophet, not a protocol.
So read the rules. Don't take anyone's word for them — mine included.
