Am I understanding correctly that you'd have to take 16g of baking soda if you weigh 80kg? How do you even do that?

"The total daily dose is commonly divided into smaller doses, ingested at multiple points throughout the day"
Gotta keep those doses away from your meals or they will mess with the stomach acid.
"The most common side-effects of sodium bicarbonate supplementation are bloating, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. The incidence and severity of side-effects vary between and within individuals, but it is generally low."
Sure. I think it's a great medicine. But it's a base and if you take it close to a meal it essentially makes the acids necessary for digestion useless. At least that's my understanding.
I'm not arguing... just sharing :) everything ha risk, every supplement interferes in some way. Gotta be cautious and do small experiments.
Yeah, I'm just wondering how to fit that dose into a day.
When they do these studies they do huge doses to make sure to capture the effect. In the peppermint essential oil study I shared in the root thread they did 50ml which is very difficult to take. I was taking 1ml before my jiu jitsu practices and saw a very noticeable effect. So can try with a much smaller dose and see if you feel a change
