Is the UK socializing higher electricity bills (putting into the fee bucket) or is the rise entirely in the variable cost? If the former, then small biz and consumers hardest hit. If the latter, the whole economy will be wrecked.

Not saying they should do the former, but wondering if the 10x bills are exaggerating the problem or not. I know aluminum smelters and fertilizer factories have closed, but they have very high electricity inputs as a percent of total cost.
