Do u know anyone infected with coronavirus?
I don’t.
And hope don't know them.

Yes I know a guy 😓
Yes I have 2 friends so far.
I'm interested to hear about this from first hand experience. How bad is it? How old are they?
One person I know has been very ill, enough to spend the last few days in bed. The other seems like he is experiencing mild symptoms and isn't very put out. Neither has had it long enough to be sure that they won't become severe yet.
I'm not sure of their ages but neither of them is old enough to be at much risk.
I hope they make it out in good health.
I was asking because I'm beginning to find this opinion quite convincing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_AyuhbnPOI
What he is saying is true, but it's a few days old. Covid-19 has now killed about as many as the flu has this year. The official numbers for cases of covid-19 don't mean much though.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm according to these numbers, the number of covid-19 deaths is about 1/3 to 1 times the number of flu deaths.
this is very relevant.

But we don't know if the flu deaths are the main cause or a secondary cause. (or do we?) So far it seems that most Covid deaths are secondary to a pre-existing co-morbidity.
I think it's the same with flu.
The CDC numbers are US specific. Global flu death are estimated at 290,000 to 650,000 per year in recent history. Current Covid deaths at 20,700 in a 4 month period.
Thanks, I searched for world numbers but I guess I got the wrong ones.
