I reawoke to realizations some years back meditating at the waters edge of a flowing river. There is something electric, spiritual, enervating, About the interface, the place where moving water and land meet.

That experience leading into it, I thought I was going to disappear into the woods or mountains somewhere and live some hermetic luddite experience.

During the course of the aforementioned meditation, I came to realize that I was making fear-based decisions, so I decided to buy back into the human condition, by literally buying back into society,

meaning that I went back to college and completed my bachelors degree. I learned the lesson of the Buddha, which the monks did not, when he warned them about exiling themselves away from society. Enlightenment alone, offers only lonesomeness a longing

The real learning happens when one learns to free themselves of the burden of expectation. No expectation yields no disappointment. So to no longer expect means to no longer set oneself up for emotional gyroscopes. Though one will still phase.
