@371 It just seems like the only thing going for it is the weather. High cost of living, serially unfree, human feces in streets, treat homeless like animals, y'know.

The weather attracted a lot of people. Los angeles area is more or less a 60 mile by 60 mile city. Opportunities abound due to scale and yes, correspondingly high costs of living and the homeless.

@371 It's not just the number of homeless, it's how they're treated.
The whole region feels like plasticine. Faux companies funded with ultra-low interest rates on faux money, faux people, faux empathy, faux wealth effect.
Nice weather, though.
