RNQT - stands for "reverse nested quote tweet." it's a phrase i picked up from mwiik on twitter. this is where you tweet a thread of tweets in reverse and the paste the link of each next tweet into the body of the tweet that precedes it. so the first tweet of the thread is the last one you tweet and it has a link in it to the second tweet of the thread and so on. that way you read the the thread not by scrolling down but by clicking through

TSS (sorry i can't vid right now) is Twitter Stupid Syndication. In practice i imagine that i have a pinned thread in my blog kind of like my current pinned tweet. everything is coordinated according to this pinned thread, but unlike twitter my knov thread can be dynamic. i'm not bound to the headings and structures of it. that's the structure.

but what about syndication? on twitter i am mainly interested in developing those nascent ideas that i thread incrementally. it occurred to me that not all my followers see these threads or know how they are connected so i wanted to periodically remind them of the main threads (the pinned tweet). but then you have to hope they see that one reminder and click through. and a lot of times people know those exist already but don't know that i have been updating them. a lot of this is dependent on twitter. with TSS i don't depend upon twitter or twitter links. i simply use knov to send everything out again (periodically).

this also allows things to change and synthesize where as on twitter i'm most just reusing stuff i've already said and writing over myself. knov can let me reuse but also repurpose in a fresh way but also in a regular and structured way with less of a headache.

simplified: my archive of threads on twitter depends on a relationships of specific twitter links that i carefully arrange. what if i did the same thing but without ever caring about the twitter links?
