Treechat pro tip: if you post something as a reply (to your OP or someone else’s) and want to make sure it gets seen in the feed just give it an up value. Correct me if I’m wrong @metamitya about the replies being buried if not upvalued but I think I've noticed that..

I think replies get buried when you reply to another reply in the tree/branch fashion.
Is that true?
Only if you reply to the op does it show up in the main feed, I think.

[[learn treechat]] by default Streams are set to only show root threads (you can change this to show all Branches) but if you upvalue any message it reposts it to the top of the main timeline similar to how Twitter reposts work. upvalue acts both as a reward and a repost simultaneously essentially you "buy" attention for a message when you upvalue it

hmm you might be right.. will await the treechat chief reply. 🫡

so Y is right that replies in the root thread will also send that thread to the top... basically by default the root threads are entrances into the forest, to keep things a little cleaner, more orderly but for the wild and brave you can change this in the drop down to the right of the stream name
