On traditional social media, the lowest quality of engagement is the "like", which acts as dopamine pellets. On twetch, comments are cheaper by 5x. Thus this incentives the highest quality of engagement while "punishing" the lazy who want to just click.

Yeah exactly, communication is the goal and likes are the financial reward for good communication. It is the complete reverse on something like twitter.
