The top arrow counts are nice, but they seem to be counting…

The top arrow counts are nice, but they seem to be counting "from the center", my initial intuition was that they were showing how many columns were offscreen. I.e. it's weird for it to say ` < 1 ` if there aren't any hidden columns.
