Derrick Horton's Victimless Podcast Spree :)
Surprised and pleased to hear Adam Curry on the SV blockchain! Give him and his co-host John C. Dvorak some love over at https://www.noagendashow.net/
/pay @gato $1.00 for making something awesome.
Let's try that again...
/pay @1850 $1.01 - the extra penny for interest 😅
I should have mentioned https://podfriend.com - it's in its infancy, but it uses the feed database from https://podcastindex.org
I know you said about $10usd, but Do you have a sense of "BSV per Mb" to upload? That would be helpful (compression on the back-end).
Nice work!
Thank you for your courage, citizen - In The Morning!
I'm (somewhat) active on the PodcastIndex Mastadon instance, but we do plan to integrate with the index in the near future :)
Thanks, dude, and yes! Currently, miners will accept TXs at ~0.5 sats/b, so that's about 0.005 BSV/MB.
This means podcasts can get expensive pretty quickly - giving users quality selectors to target a price they're comfortable paying is a top priority.
Of course, over time, these fees will continue to trend down. We've gone from 1 sat/b to 0.5 sats/b as the standard in ~1 year.
The lower the miners will go, the cheaper file storage becomes 👍
That's great to know. I know it will change over time, it's helpful to know what the probable cost will be. Thanks!
