Today I was given the honorable yet difficult task to explain Bitcoin to the parents of a friend of mine (50+) who had zero information prior.
By the end they actually felt like they understood it much better. I was so happy for both them and myself!

The most difficult part was definitely explaining the security model. Mining, PoW. The antler metaphor of @24 definitely helped out a lot!
