Agree. I prefer dark themes tho, consumes less energy. Btw what do you think designers should use as a reference phone properties? Lowest common denominator or majority on market?
Focus on your target audience of users. If your users mostly uses high end and is the majority of paying customers, focus on that, forget the incompatibility or flaws for the rest.
Money talks, then when profitable you can take next target/level.
