What was the timespan between you reading the WP and buying your first Bitcoin?
For me it was 5y I red it in 2012 and thought its a great idea for a frictionless payment and robust network. Bought my first coin beginning 2017.

I had a head start as I'm heavily involved with communication and information transmission on large scale networks with a broad education in networking mathematics and information technology and everything revolving around it in general.

It was sometime in 2011 when I first learned about Bitcoin. Finally bought BTC/LTC in early November 2017 after watching the markets really closely since January. After moving some BTC around, the fees were off-putting, so I delved into researching forks.
