Daniel opens with Bitcoin as the sky metaphor. This is an important observation because you are both in the container and without.

Imagine that you are inside a bottle, from inside, you can't read the label. That is the current economy.

With Bitcoin, Daniel notes that it is more a centrality contest as well as a profit seeking one. Those with "good" history (accurate differential knowledge) attract others who want to copy our profit seeking & want better knowledge first.

Differential knowledge plus POW = a herd leader that can redirect the shared consciousness through the "good" history already demonstrated so other members of the herd can trust they are not making an error in following. Novel & accurate info is important!

People have fallen prey to the "free candy" of profit seekers seeking earlier forms of money. Chameleons with POW but the messages they have are complete nonsense. Individuals with differential knowledge don't get trained by price like the rest of the herd

Creative individuals are what creates growth and attracts more monkeys to the shared consciousness. It is a spiral, which is why Daniel uses that old video of his of the web camera feeding into itself. That is Bitcoin when it obtains positive feedback.

To be a Homo Bitcoinus, you MUST do what Daniel (& I) say:
Use your differential knowledge to seek profit;
Put in the POW & send your best knowledge;
Spend Energy to get more connections/closer to center;
Keep creating novel info to create good history.

I don't think that you MUST do it but I think that mostly people seem like they can't even understand why this is a good idea!

Also POW is not just mining. This thread is POW, I am using up fantastical amounts of future production to demonstrate my early understanding of the future shared consciousness. Which ties into Daniel's profit seeking. Homo Bitcoinus wants more Bitcoin.

I used MUST because the herd responses faster that way. Is assertiveness an indicator of differential knowledge that doesn't have time to explain what that knowledge is?

POW means demonstrated opportunity cost, ie, something that is useless other than for getting attention. So I disagree that this thread is proof-of-work because it contains useful information and nothing that is useless other than for getting attention.

Hmm. That is an important point and one that needs reflection. I will reflect about POW a little more and determine whether there is POW that can contain novel information or whether it is purely a signally mechanism...
