We don’t need an outdated model like Wikipedia when we will build a better version anyway. Wikipedia begs for donations and has been doing so for a very long time.
Who is 'we?' There is no 'we.' Will you do it?
I will contribute thousands of dollars to the effort. I’m part of this.
I’m disappointed in you @494 . Lmao
Why exactly? I thought it was a good point.
I find far too many people seeing it as a collective game. Sure there is some element of group benefit, but small groups will still make the biggest differences.
“We” is anyone who doesn’t lay down and die and bend to the whims of the “greater” crypto community. If some old washed up guy wants to say they will “never” use BSV and tips on Wikipedia through BSV are a “terrible” idea then he is useless as a speaker.
I think the 'we' in terms of the building is the part being discussed. I don't care about Jimmy Whales, but I also don't see a reason to push him away. It's good to learn from those you want to defeat.
On his Twitter he literally said he “does not support BSV”, he “intended to state this at the speech”, and it would be a “terrible idea for Wikipedia to accept tips in BSV”. Inviting him is like bringing your drunk uncle to a sweet 16 to party. Lol why?
To observe his weakness in person.
