To be clear, I'm not saying it *is* true, though I'm seeing signs that point to it as a possibility.
The real complexity if it is true, though, comes from the plethora of possible alternatives.
For one, will this mentality be redirected, or dropped?

I'd tend to think it will be redirected. Then, into what?
We've recently had the housing market crisis, so I don't think it will be into housing...
Right now I have an instinctual response that it will be healthcare in some way, probably insurance.

I'd bet there will be a plethora of new approaches to financing healthcare, some of which will act in "store of value"-like ways. Of course, it'll all be a facade, but that's what the current financial markets have been, too.

But this is all very early speculation on my part. Too many variables.
It will be fascinating to watch, though.
