i think upvaluing for the service of curating is totally legitimate. i dont believe any obligations are created, but of course giving back to the community is appreciated.
one thing we're thinking of doing is letting people upvalue the original url as well as the person sharing it... and then figure out a clever way to distribute the money to the creators of the content being shared...
