Starting momentum is 1000 MPH.
Combined speed is 1000 MPH + speed of plane.
If you suspend yourself from wires on the plane, are you traveling backward or staying still in relation to Earth? No... you are in momentum with the plane. Same as walking in the plane… Combined speed is 1000 MPH + speed of plane + you walking on the plane.
