i think im going to merge the two "branch" buttons, they're really doing the same thing. im thinking that ill just generate the !comments quest in the right panel as a convenience when you branch a particular answer

Yea I see the struggle. It's hard to decide. I understand the functionality of both but at the same time having to choose introduces friction into the process. I think reducing the friction might make the tool easier to learn and accelerate its use.
Being able to produce multi-dimensional writing is the true power.
So much so that its' hard to conceptualize at first. The possibilities available are so different to linear forms of writing.
