i think it could be helpful to give multiple ways to upvote to uh split off the different things it means, it's too vague, like i think if you had a general purpose "i like this" button AS WELL AS the "this is relevant to this conversation" button, people could get it out of their system to express that something is cool but then also vote no on is it relevant to THIS tho

interesting idea but complexity danger
folksonomy seems to me often the best compromise between simplicity & having enough options, just have all of language as the options, then you can capture like tagging something "cool idea" and "thing i agree with" and "relevant to this topic" and a zillion other things, but you have a resulting problem that the data is messy, but hey, humans are messy
emoji reacts are a well-known interface lately & possibly useful for categorizing, that's what we got when people got frustrated w/ the simplicity of just being able to upvote or heart react, now most services allow you to tag anything any emoji
ah. i like this idea a lot, a single upvalue mechanism applied to !very_relevant action tag
