there is nothing manly about eating meat

it takes more courage and strength to go against societal norms and stand up for innocent beings
Even if that is true does that justify our actions today?
No but through our history if it were not for meat homosapiens would have become extinct like the australopiths.
Except if it were not for meat we would be extinct.
You think we need meat to survive?
Genesis 9:3 - Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
I do think we owe it to animals to start growing our meat without them. Lab grown meat will save many animals in the future.
Romans 14:3 - Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Thou shalt not kill

Yeah, and completely fuck up our insides.
There was a word for vegetarians in the middle ages:
'Peasants'
I don't think there is any evidence that our bodies can tell the difference.
There are many professional athletes that are also vegan. I have been vegan for 8 years and have a high level of fitness
I don't kill animals, just to kill animals. If I kill an animal it is either to end its misery(dying already) or for my sustenance. I don't find that it is morally wrong at this point but possibly someday in the future when there is an alternatve, maybe.
no there is no reason to kill them
You do not need to eat animals to live, there is a lot of evidence that it is healthier not to consume animal products. Plants are the alternative, all it takes is self control
plants are cheaper to produce and more nutritious, there is no excuse to eat meat
But what if you hunt it? Is it more manly then?
Biologically we are still omnivores regardless of being a meat eater or a vegetarian. A vegetarian diet does not cause us to be herbivores therefore as designed we can eat meat.
Meat is important in times of famine and in winter otherwise eat meat sparingly.
That is true. I actually live in India where many people are viscerally put off by ppl eating meat. I just wish meat was not as widely available, and seen a a very precious item that is worth a lot.
no such thing, but the longest living populations have eaten little to no animal products
Just to stir the pot some more...show me the man who quit eating meat and lived forever!
we can eat whatever we choose to put in our mouth but there are obviously health and ethical choices that can be made. Our bodies also have more in common with herbivores and frugivorous than carnivores or omnivores.
I disagree that we are more herbivore. Our bodies are not nearly as effective at processing plant matter as other animals and are very effective at processing meat proteins. Our digestive track is not specialized one way or the other.

Meat was once necessary to survive in some societies, but it is no longer.
I don’t suggest nobody ever eat meat, but I do think we must take better care of animals and think about our relationship with them differently. Many animal farms are barbaric.
I agree with you, Austin. Our bodies thrive when we eat Alkaline foods and fill with mucous when we eat acidic foods.
Meat and dairy and poultry are acidic. The grains we choose to make widely available are acidic.
Good to know we agree on something! Been vegan for five years. My fitness has never been better. I'm 31 now and planning to stay fit for a looong time.
That’s awesome man! Ya it is probably the best decision I make every day to choose to eat this way. I don’t even have to think about it anymore. People think it is really inconvenient but it is mostly just educating yourself
Thi shall not murder , God gave us meat for food :King James Bible Genesis 9:3
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
