Soon, even Bitcoin apps will let you edit your mistakes. Building on an immutable data layer doesn't mean you can't update state. Both Metanet Protocol and Magic Attribute Protocol v2 are designed with this in mind.

I like to think of it in terms of Git. The history is always there, but the latest is shown via the latest tip, or HEAD. Perhaps I'm wrong, and the technicalities could be different/not matter to the end user, but regardless, it will be good to get there.

yea, entire version history could be made available via UI, or they could decide its too much for average user and hide it.
