testing out an idea : the moral value of an idea is proportional to how well it helps you predict the future

I don’t get it 😆

I don't get it either yet, but then I'm running on a single-core CPU from 1984.

I think two terms dont match… moral and how well, morality and functionality

While some would say moral is a subjective term, In my world view it suggests inner coherence. This inner coherence could be a tuning fork that can “see the future” so to speak.

here is a simple example: telling the truth is moral bc it helps us model the world correctly and therefore make better predictions

My head is spinning 😵‍💫 I like it, I just need more coffee. Truth is already moral, since it is not just the naked fact, it has already a connotation of veritas. What is truth Pilato asked Jesus? (At least in the movie of Mel Gibson) - in a sense everything is true, if we think as in a simulation, everything happening is true. Unless like in the matrix the code broke in a dejavoo… but I haven’t seen one. Maybe those are the miracles? When things happen that dont make sense?
Apart of this simulation reality, the truth as in the one that sets us free, it is what is hard to digest.
That truth might not be the one that produces the best outcome in the short term, maybe in the long term.
