Talking to mountains ?
Asking permission if i need wood from a tree ?

Brooz ·

I don't think you need to ask a tree for permission to get wood lol that's a bit extreme

palmbird ·

For me it is normal to ask permission.
It don't want to hurt the tree, so i say i need the wood to do something with it.

I always had strong connections with trees.
I was a tree trimmer in the winter.
Trees were my way of earning money.
I have the deepest respect for them.

palmbird ·

Trees are sacred to me.
I had a tree nurcery from around 1987 to 2010 also.
I know and talk still to trees i raised in that period.
I know a lot of them i know where the are (grow).
Some are is private gardens , others near roads, parcs.
I grew 1000s of them of course.
Now i have only contact with some of them.

Brooz ·

I get that you have a respect for trees but asking them for permission for wood which is fuel and an energy source is just absurd to me.

palmbird ·

I respect your opinion.
I don't quote my religious books normaly but it is in my books i better ask permission.

palmbird ·

An other exemple of things i experience.
If i see a tree with a branch half broken of i get a strong feeling i need to help the tree.
If i can i take a saw or gardening knife to fix it ,even if the tree is at the parc in my village.

Brooz ·

ok but just because a book says it, doesn't make it so
you have free will

palmbird ·

I agree i have a free wil.
Also in my religion i don't need to follow every line it says.
But i feel i need to ask permission because i know it wil hurt the tree.

Brooz ·

I can see where you're coming from in the sense of the tree is a living organism, but it can't talk so it's not like it can say no lol

palmbird ·

But some lines in the book are you are better to follow them or other ways you are not a part of that religion , you then are on a side path.
I follow the rule of three mostly also.

palmbird ·

I have free wil and i feel ok with my religion and follow the laws because i want to.

palmbird ·

I have nothing against other religions or atheists.
My religion does not say : gain souls for our religion. Everybody should find his/here own path it says.

Brooz ·

whereas I'm not religious at all and I just find my own path because it's what I want to do. I just don't see the benefits of a religion myself.

palmbird ·

Of course there is some evolution in my religion.
I see changes from what i experienced in the early 80s.
It has to do with how everything is evolving.
There are much more laws and regulations in the world now. We were much more free in the 70s ,80s. And that reflects in religion.
People are much more ashamed of their body . Back then religious rituals in my religions were much more performed naked.
Now that is mostly gone or in secret.

Brooz ·

well yeah cos you get done for indecent exposure 🤣

I was lucky to grow up as a kid with a mother as a member of the religion , my father not a great follower.
But we had visitors of the religion , a few of those made great impression on me.
I also i remember so a few meetings elswhere but the things happening in our home i would never forget.

palmbird ·

One of the benefits from my religion is that i don't fear the death as much as most not religious people. I believe in reincarnation and believe even that most likely i wil be reincarnated near or in my family again.

palmbird ·

I also believe prayer/rituals can bring change.
I respect people who say it is all bullshit.
They are on another path ,they can be happy with theirs, i am happy with mine where i can perform rituals .
