If all you talk about here fits into one of three categories (Bitcoin, politics, or memes,) you're not helping Twetch to succeed.

Branch out on topics.

Talk about things that are interesting to you.

For my own part, I'll be starting to post things here that are interesting to me but have nothing to do with the three categories above.

I likely won't post much, but hopefully it will be interesting to you folks, too.

Twetch ·

Topics I expect to talk about:
- Rocket Launches, including SpaceX's Starship test program
- Stories and culture, steering away from politics as best I can
- Music

Twetch ·

On that last point... @3 have you learned to play guitar yet?

Twetch ·

no I don't have a guitar

Twetch ·

Sounds like you don't really want to learn.

Get on it, man!

Twetch ·

Cymatics is always a fun rabbit hole. :)

Will check it out!

How the ancients made hard stone pliable and weigh less.

Twetch ·

I'm not at all familiar with that sort of thing.

Twetch ·

Serapeum granite boxes, Sacsayhuaman, Baalbek complex, pyramids, Machu Pichu, Sayhuite and more.

Twetch ·

What information do you have about how they made 'hard stone pliable and weigh less'?

Twetch ·

Channeled, Seth, Jane Roberts; sound being the most plausible medium, since all matter vibes. Sometimes fluids are mentioned, but that wouldn't help stacking huge blocks. Brien Foerster has interesting videos.

Twetch ·

A different method:
One could use a Fresnel lens & heat up stone contact pts. It would become pliable & mesh (under the weight). It could explain some of the ancient fitting techniques (& the knobs on the stones from drips)

Vitrification is a tell.

Twetch ·

Were Fresnel lenses a thing back then?

I'd think it more likely that a mirrored surface would be used, and shaped into a parabolic structure... But that'd likely leave archeological evidence which I am unaware of (though that's not at all my field.)

Twetch ·

No idea if the Fresnel lens was a thing back then.. :) but it seems like a potential explanation in some cases..

Coral Castle w/ Ed Leedskalnin is also a great story to be familiar w/. His story, and his book are both quite intriguing. :)

Twetch ·

Oh, but if I had the time to chase down every interesting thing...

Twetch ·

May be, but that doesn't solve the weight problem and fingerprints in stone.

Twetch ·

Yes, the weight issue would have to be solved by another means. (perhaps using methods u referred to?)

Also interesting methods:
modern guy doing giant blocks:

Moderns moving replica Eastern Island Moai.

Twetch ·

Many Easter island statues are much longer, with legs below ground.

The modern mover methods don't explain moving Baalbek sized blocks and stacking Sacsayhuaman blocks. Where moving includes moving from long distance quarries.

Twetch ·

Yes, understood. Not hand-waiving off the mystery (as is often the case w/ citing these methods). I still find them relevant in some cases. :)
